Toyota has recently launched bulletproof variants of its popular cars in Brazil. These cars have been introduced with bulletproof kits fitted by the company, which will be delivered to the customers directly through the dealership. According to the Toyota Brazil website, the company has partnered with Avalon, Carbon, Evolution Blindegens and Parvi Blindados, who are preparing these bulletproof kits. Availability of bulletproof option In these bulletproof cars, customers will get options for both new and old models. If customers want to make their car bulletproof, they will have to contact the armoring company of their choice before delivery. For this, customers can contact their local dealership, and from there they can send their car to the armoring company. Delivery date After booking the bulletproof kit, the customer will be given a date for the delivery of his car. On this date, the customer will be able to receive his bulletproof car. Customers have to keep in mind that their car should not be of a model older than 2020, only then they can get it upgraded to bulletproof. Upgrade Process and Warranty The bodywork of Toyota Fortuner, Hilux and Corolla will be further strengthened with bulletproof upgrades. It will get reinforced glass that can withstand attacks from small arms and metallic pipes. Although the company has not disclosed the cost for the upgrade, the companies have promised a 5-year warranty. Apart from this, there will be a warranty of 5 to 10 years on the parts. Delivery Time The company says that customers may take about 30 days to get the bulletproof upgrade. This may take some time due to customization. Impact on performance The company has also stated that there may be a slight impact on the performance of the vehicle after the use of steel and windows. However, these cars are completely designed to ensure the safety of your family. Toyota's Bulletproof Portfolio Toyota's bulletproof portfolio includes the Corolla sedan, Corolla Cross SUV, Hilux pickup and SW 4. The SW 4 is known as the Fortuner in the Indian market. With this new bulletproof option, Toyota is taking a big step towards providing additional safety to its customers, and further strengthening its vehicle portfolio in Brazil.
