Government oil companies have released the prices of petrol and diesel today i.e. on Saturday. Yes and you must have known that the price of oil, which has remained stable for the past several days, has not changed even today. In fact, in the national capital Delhi, a liter of petrol is being sold for Rs 105.41 while the price of a liter of diesel is Rs 96.67. Whereas in other metros, petrol and diesel prices are being sold in Mumbai for Rs 120.51, while diesel is available for Rs 104.77. With this, there has been no change in the prices of petrol and diesel even today amidst the costlier crude oil in the global market. Let us tell you that the Chief Economic Advisor had said in a statement last month that, 'As long as the price of crude is less than $ 110 per barrel, the prices of petrol and diesel will not increase. If the price of crude oil remains above $110, then the government, oil companies and consumers will have to bear the burden together. Now in such a situation, after the price of Brent crude reached above $ 110 in the global market today, the possibility of petrol and diesel becoming expensive again has increased. Apart from this, let us also tell you that the prices of petrol and diesel change every day at 6 am. The new rates are applicable from 6 am every day. After adding excise duty, dealer commission, VAT and other things to the price of petrol and diesel, its price becomes almost double of the original price and this is the reason why the prices of petrol and diesel appear so high.
