Washington: Singer and songwriter Halsey expressed her joy over her fiancé Avan Jogia's relationship with her son, Ender Ridley. During her appearance on Alex Cooper's Call Her Daddy podcast, Halsey shared insights into their family life.
Halsey, who is the mother of 3-year-old Ender, whom she shares with her ex-boyfriend Alex Aydin, discussed how Avan has formed a genuine connection with her son. "He has a relationship with my son now," Halsey said, adding, "and just watching the way he shows up for my son in such an authentic way" makes her feel grateful. She remarked, "I was like, 'OK, you really are just the best person.'"
On the podcast, Halsey also mentioned an amusing moment when Ender learned her real name. "My son started calling me Ash," she told Cooper. "I was like, 'You better get it together. I'm Mommy to you.'” When Ender asked why he couldn't call her Ash, Halsey found herself without a clear answer. "He's like, 'Why can't I call you Ash if everyone else does?' I'm like, 'That's a great question, but I just don't like it.'"
Halsey and Aydin welcomed their son on July 14, 2021. She celebrated the occasion on Instagram, expressing her gratitude for the "most 'rare' and euphoric birth, powered by love."
