The pain of losing a loved one is the greatest in life, but this is the truth of life which every human being has to accept. Every religion has different rituals from birth to death. In Hinduism, there is a tradition of cremation after death. This is an important religious ritual, in which the dead body is burned and its ashes are immersed in the river. But have you ever wondered which part of the body does not burn during cremation? Come, let us tell you. Importance of Cremation Hinduism believes that after death the soul leaves the body and moves towards a new life. In such a situation, the body is burned and merged into the five elements. When the dead body is set on fire, every part of the body turns into ashes within a few hours. During this time most of the bones also burn, but some bones remain which are called asthiyan and these are immersed in the river. Body modifications: a scientific perspective Scientists have done research on the changes that take place in the body during cremation. According to this research, when the dead body is cremated at a temperature of 670 to 810 degrees Celsius, the body starts melting in about 10 minutes. After 20 minutes the frontal bone becomes soft and cracks start appearing in the cranial cavity. After 30 minutes the skin burns completely and the internal parts of the body become visible. After 40 minutes the internal organs start shrinking and after 50 minutes the hands and feet burn and get destroyed. It takes about 2 to 3 hours to burn a human body completely. Which part does not burn? When the body is completely burnt, almost every part turns into ashes, but the teeth do not burn completely. This is the only part that can be easily identified even after burning. There is science behind this. Actually, teeth are made of calcium phosphate, which is very strong and due to this they do not burn completely in fire. Apart from teeth, no other part of the body is so strong that it can survive the process of cremation. This is the reason why teeth can be found even after cremation. The reason behind not burning teeth The reason for teeth not burning is calcium phosphate, which does not get destroyed even at very high temperatures. This is the reason that even when the rest of the body burns to ashes, the teeth remain intact. This is a fact that many people may be surprised to know. Cremation is an important ritual of Hinduism in which the dead body is given a final farewell by burning it. From a scientific point of view, almost every part of the body burns, but teeth do not burn due to their structure. It is also interesting to know that this process forces us to think more deeply about life and death.
