If you are looking to buy a new Bluetooth Speaker in the budget of Rs 3000, then Honeywell has recently launched a new speaker called Trueno U300. It features 20 watts sound output, and we have tested it for review. Let us know how was our experience with this speaker and what were its advantages and disadvantages.
Design and Build Quality
The design of Honeywell Trueno U300 is very precise and attractive. Black thread texture has been used on the front of the speaker, on which Honeywell branding has been done. Volume, playback and power buttons are given on its top.
To carry the speaker outdoors, a red coloured premium cloth band has been provided on its side, which makes it easy to carry the speaker. This band is strong and protects the speaker from falling. To protect the ports from dust and dirt, the company has also installed a rubber cover on which branding has been done. Overall, its design is simple and aesthetic, which looks good in any room.
Sound Quality
While testing the sound quality of the speaker, we played it at full volume. Thanks to the 78mm dual drivers and 20W audio output, the sound was loud and clear even at full volume. There was no distortion or tearing in the sound. Overall, the sound quality did not disappoint us.
battery life
Honeywell Trueno U300 has a 4500 mAh battery, which the company claims lasts up to 13 hours on a single charge. During testing, we found that this speaker lasted for about 11.30 hours on a single charge. Although this is slightly less than the company's claim, 11.30 hours of battery backup is also good at this price.
It takes about 2 hours and 45 minutes to charge the battery via USB Type-C port. It would have been better if the charging time was a little less, but overall this speaker is good in terms of battery backup.
Buy or not?
At a budget of Rs 2799, the Honeywell Trueno U300 has the best design, sound quality and battery life. However, if you take it for travel, it can be a bit heavy, as it weighs 1 kg 50 grams. The charging time could also have been better, but its weight is due to dual drivers and dual radiators, which are necessary for great sound quality. In the retail box, you will also get a Type-C cable and a 3.5 mm AUX cable, so that you can connect it with your phone, laptop or any other device.
