Agartala: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday (February 12) addressed an election rally at Chandipur in Tripura. During this, Amit Shah fiercely attacked the Left Front and the Congress. The Home Minister said that the Left and the Congress have tied up for the Tripura elections. Right from forming the alliance, the Left has accepted that it cannot fight the BJP alone. Shah said tauntingly what to say about the Congress, the leftists who killed hundreds of Congressmen, today the Congress is doing 'illu-ilu' with them.
Amit Shah further said that by forging an alliance with Congress, the CPM has proved that they are going to lose the elections. They alone could not handle the BJP. He said that Congress should be ashamed, they allied with CPM, which killed many of their (Congress) members. He has also made Tipra Modha a pawn. Regarding the development of Tripura, the Home Minister said that Congress and CPM have done nothing for Tripura. There was development in Tripura under BJP rule. We worked for the development of all.
Amit Shah said that Congress and CPM did nothing for tribals and now they have chosen a tribal face as a chief ministerial candidate to get votes for tribals. The Home Minister further said that the BJP government did the work of giving you health insurance. Drinking water was delivered to all the houses, gas cylinders were delivered, toilets were made and the work of giving food was done for free. If the work of giving respect rights to all was done, then the Manik Saha government under the leadership of the Modi government has done this.
