It can be detected in the womb itself by ultrasound, but in most cases it is detected only after birth.

According to Dr. Santosh Singh, this condition occurs due to some unknown reason during the development of the fetus. In this, one fetus develops inside the other and becomes dependent on it. It can also be seen as a parasitic fetus. This rare condition is often challenging even for doctors, as its symptoms are quite different from common diseases and it can be difficult to identify it on time.
