Delhi Police has started questioning Rhea Chakraborty, comedian Bharti Singh and YouTuber Elvish Yadav in a major scam related to the Highbox mobile app. In this case, summons have also been sent to many other YouTubers and social media influencers. All of them are accused of trapping thousands of people in their net by luring them with high interest returns through the app. Big scam of 500 crore rupees There is an allegation of fraud of Rs 500 crore in this scam. Delhi Police has received more than 500 complaints, in which the victims told that they invested money in this app after watching the promotional videos of their favorite YouTubers and social media influencers. They are accused of cheating more than 30 thousand people. FIR lodged against many YouTubers and influencers Apart from Rhea Chakraborty, Bharti Singh and Elvish Yadav, YouTubers Saurabh Joshi, Harsh Limbachiyaa, Abhishek Malhan, Dilraj Singh Rawat, Purav Jha, Lakshya Chaudhary, Adarsh Singh and Amit have also been booked in the Highbox mobile app scam. Police statement Police Commissioner Hemant Tiwari said, "HIBOX is a mobile app that was used to commit a well-planned scam. Through this app, people were promised guaranteed returns of 1% to 5% daily and 30% to 90% monthly." The main accused in this case, Chennai resident Shivram (30), has already been arrested by the police. Easybuzz and PhonePe are being investigated Police also informed that two major payment platforms—EasyBuzz and PhonePe—are also being investigated. These payment platforms are accused of not following the guidelines of the Reserve Bank of India. The police are also investigating their role. People's hard-earned money was wasted Many people have lost their hard-earned money in this scam. It is alleged that YouTubers and social media influencers trapped people by promising huge returns, due to which they invested their money in this app. Now the police are seriously investigating this whole matter and are preparing to take strict action against the accused.
