Supporters of the saffron party attacked a former BJP MLA in Tripura

In northern Tripura, BJP MLA Ashis Das, who joined the Trinamool Congress (TMC) on October 31, said that "saffron party-backed goons beat him."

After completing an organisational programme in Bagbassa, Das claims he was accosted by BJP activists on his way back to the district headquarters. Following the event, Das filed a report with the Panisagar police station, but no arrests have been made. Taking a shot at Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, he claimed that he was one of the architects of the BJP's election victory in Tripura in 2018 and that he would use all legal means to defend the state from the attack on Sunday.

"By attacking the Trinamool Congress, the BJP would not be able to prevent the TMC from gaining power in the 2023 assembly elections," he stated. After Das joined the TMC more than 55 days ago, the ruling BJP has neglected to take any action. Violence resumed in Tripura, according to a TMC statement, "in BJP's Gunda Raj."

"Near Dharmanagar, Biplab Deb's goons brutally thrashed him (Ashish Das)." After attending a party, Das was on his way to Dharmanagar. Biplab Deb was abducted, assaulted, and his clothes tore. The statement stated, "This is entirely unacceptable."
