In a new video released by the Aam Aadmi Party, Sunita Kejriwal, wife of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, has made serious allegations regarding her husband's arrest. She claimed that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) pressured a witness, Magunta Srinivasan Reddy (MSR), to give a false statement against the Chief Minister. Sunita Kejriwal explained that CM Arvind Kejriwal was arrested based on a statement made by MSR, an NDA MP from Andhra Pradesh. She questioned the basis of her husband's arrest, emphasizing the dubious nature of MSR's statement. Allegations of Coercion According to Sunita, the ED raided MSR's premises on September 17, 2022, and questioned him about his interactions with CM Kejriwal. MSR stated that he met Kejriwal on March 16, 2021, to discuss opening a family charitable trust in Delhi. Kejriwal informed MSR that the land for the trust was under the jurisdiction of the Lieutenant Governor and advised him to submit an application. Sunita alleged that the ED was dissatisfied with MSR's initial response and subsequently arrested his son, Raghav Magunta, to coerce MSR into changing his statement. Despite the pressure, MSR maintained his original account, resulting in repeated rejections of his son's bail. Impact on Family Sunita further revealed the emotional toll on MSR's family. The stress led Raghav's wife to attempt suicide, and his elderly mother's health deteriorated. Faced with these hardships, MSR eventually altered his statement on July 17, 2023. In the revised statement, MSR claimed that Kejriwal suggested he engage in the liquor business in Delhi and contribute Rs. 100 crore to the AAP. Questions of Legitimacy Sunita Kejriwal pointed out that the very next day after MSR's altered statement, Raghav was granted bail, suggesting that the revised statement was coerced and not truthful. She argued that this sequence of events casts doubt on the legitimacy of the charges against CM Kejriwal.
