Students to get Rs5,000 for joining govt school in Godumakunta

HYDERABAD: At a time when parents are concerned about the high costs of private school enrollment, this government-run school in Telangana is offering Rs 5,000 to parents who enrol their children.

In the Medchal-Malkajgiri area, public leaders in Godhumakunta village came up with an innovative method to increase admissions to the local Mandal Parishad elementary school.

Sarpanch Mahendra Reddy and his deputy Anjaneyulu took the lead in encouraging parents to send their children to government schools. A poster was also put at the school gate by the public representatives to announce the offer. It also highlights the school's primary qualities and the resources available to students.

The school administration has guaranteed that all of the facilities for children in classes 1 to 7 have been provided thanks to donations from benefactors. The school also provides two sets of clothes, shoes, socks, books, a backpack, and a bus pass, all of which are provided free of charge. The state government also provides students with a mid-day meal. The local government has ensured that there is enough flora in the school grounds and has spruced up the structure.

The school provides instruction in both Telugu and English. The state government has made English the language of instruction for Classes 1 to 7 as of current academic year.
