Madhya Pradesh- Bhopal: Schools resumed in Bhopal for Classes I to V from today (September 20) with proper COVID-19 norms. The decision was taken in a meeting chaired by chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The schools have been asked to adhere to the Covid-19 protocol to open the elementary classes. Social distancing and sanitization should be done properly. If any parents don’t want to send the kids to the school, the administration should continue online classes, said an officer of the school education department. Sharing details before media, Principal of Shashkiya Girls Higher Secondary School, Bhopal Dr Usha Khare said, "Today, the schools have been reopened for Classes one to five. We are following all the strict COVID guidelines and the students are also instructed for the same." "We have also sanitiser dispensers in different corners of the school and social distancing is being maintained," Khare said adding that the classes will be held for only two hours for now. The hostels and boarding schools for classes 8, 10 and 12 will also be reopened with 100% capacity while class 11 will be reopened with 50% capacity. All the school staff members have been asked to take the jabs of Covid-19 vaccination. The parents of students were also glad about the reopening of the classes.
