Tirumala, India – In a unique celestial alignment this year, Tirumala is all set to host two magnificent Brahmotsavams, one in September and another in October, owing to the auspicious occasion of Adhikamasam. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) administration, led by Executive Officer A.V. Dharma Reddy, recently convened a comprehensive review meeting with various departments to ensure the seamless and successful execution of these grand celebrations. The discussions, held at Annamaiah Bhavan, saw the participation of Joint Executive Officer Sada Bhargavi and Veerabrahmam. Addressing the media after the meeting on the starting day, Executive Officer Dharma Reddy shared the exciting details of the forthcoming festivities. The Salakatla Brahmotsavam is slated to captivate devotees from September 18 to 26, followed by the Navaratri Brahmotsavam, which will grace the holy town from October 15 to 23 this year. Dharma Reddy emphasized the meticulous planning that began a month and a half in advance, highlighting the dedication of the TTD in making these events a grand success. He also revealed that a follow-up meeting with the district administration would take place in the coming fortnight. During the review meeting, several crucial aspects of the annual Brahmotsavams were discussed. Notable events include the Dwajarohanam ceremony on September 18, which marks the initiation of the celebrations, and the anticipated visit of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on the same day. The Chief Minister will present silk vastams on behalf of the government, a tradition upheld with reverence, to Sri Venkateswara Swamy. Other significant days in the lineup feature the Garuda Seva on September 22, the Golden Chariot procession on September 23, the Rathotsavam on September 25, and the grand finale, including the Chakrasnanam and Dhwajavarohanam, on September 26. The grandeur continues with the Navaratri Brahmotsavams commencing on October 15, followed by the majestic Garuda Vahanam on October 19, the awe-inspiring Pushpaka Vimanam on October 20, and the Golden Chariot procession on October 22. The divine extravaganza culminates with the sacred Chakra Snanam on October 23. Executive Officer Dharma Reddy also detailed the extensive preparations undertaken, encompassing engineering works, Annaprasadam (free meals distribution), darshan (worship), accommodation, and security arrangements, meticulously orchestrated by the TTD vigilance and security wing in collaboration with the local police. Other crucial aspects like Kalyanakatta (pilgrim services), transport, HDPP (Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad), horticulture, medical facilities, and the dedicated service of Srivari Sevaks were also scrutinized to ensure a spiritual and memorable experience for all devotees.
