Thiruvananthapuram: Legendary Actor and musician R Subbalakshmi passed away in Thiruvananthapuram on Thursday. She was 87. Battling age-related illnesses, her departure marks the end of an era. With a remarkable career, Subbalakshmi's contributions as a former All India Radio employee and music instructor at Jawahar Balbhavan are remembered fondly. Her journey to fame soared with her unforgettable performance in 'Kalyanaraman,' paving the way for her appearances in over 75 movies across Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi cinema.
