RAJKOT: The question papers for BBA semester 5 Direct Taxes and B.Com semester 5 Auditing and Corporate Governance have been leaked, The Saurashtra University has reported. The paper leak was reported on October 12. A criminal complaint was lodged with the Bhaktinagar police station. Thereafter, The University Examiner rescheduled the tests and overnight sent the principal of the exam centre fresh question papers that had been reset. Nilesh Soni, the university's acting controller of examinations, informed the local media that the Direct Taxes exam for BBA semester 5 and the Auditing and Corporate Governance exam for B.Com semester 5 would both take place on Thursday. However, when he learned of the paper leak on Wednesday night at midnight, he rushed the university team to all examination centers and asked to recollect the papers in sealed cover. A criminal complaint was filed after the leak was confirmed by the campus newspaper, and an internal investigation into the leak has also been started. The BBA reset paper was mailed to the college principal that very night. The new date for the B.Com exam will be revealed soon, as per Mr. Soni, who estimates that 12,000 students are sitting the examinations. Vice Chancellor Girish Bhimani alleged that anti-social elements with a mala fide intention to disgrace the image of the University were behind the paper leak.
