Recently, Shabana shared a funny incident related to Rajesh Khanna during an interview.
When Rajesh Khanna lied on the set: Shabana told journalist Faye D'Souza in a conversation that once Rajesh Khanna lied on the set. She said, "Rajesh Khanna and I had worked together in many films, and perhaps he liked my company. One day he came limping on the set, and he was injured. A journalist asked him how he got injured?"
To this, Rajesh Khanna replied that he got injured while shooting a horseback riding scene. Hearing this, Shabana laughed and immediately replied, "But you were shooting with me the whole day; then when did you do the horseback riding scene?" After this, Rajesh gently kicked Shabana from under the table so that she did not take the matter further.
Trying to handle the situation: When the journalist left, Rajesh Khanna said to Shabana, "Why do you always have to become Raja Harishchandra in such situations?" Then Shabana asked him how he actually got hurt. Then Rajesh Khanna told that he was wearing a lungi and because of that, he slipped and fell from the stairs. Then Rajesh Khanna jokingly said, "I am such a big star; what do you think, I should have told this to everyone?"
