JAIPUR: The Rajasthan government will set up 70 new Sub-Health Centres (SHCs) around the state to improve the infrastructure of health services, an official statement reads Eleven Sub-Health Centres will be opened in Sikar, 9 in Nagaur, 6 each in Alwar and Karauli, 5 in Sawai Madhopur, 4 each in Bhilwara and Tonk, 3 each in Jaipur, Churu and Rajsamand, 2 each in Chittorgarh, Dausa, Jalore, Jhunjhunu, Kota and Udaipur, and one SHC each in Ajmer, Baran, Bharatpur and Pali, it said Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has approved a proposal for the project, it said and added a woman health worker will be posted at each of these Sub-Health Centres Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot mentioned that Sub-Health Centres would be introduced to the state gradually in his budget speech. Another decision will see the introduction of agriculture courses in 50 state-run higher secondary schools. According to the announcement, teachers will be hired for the course in these schools. Eight schools in each of Jaipur and Alwar, five in Ajmer, four in Sikar, three in Barmer, Bhilwara, Bikaner, Dungarpur, and Jhalawar, two in Bundi, Jodhpur and Nagaur, Sriganganagar, and Jaisalmer, and one in Jalore and Pali will begin the course. The chief minister has also undertaken tourism-related development projects at Nathdwara's (Rajsamand) Jaldevji Mataji Temple Sansera in Railmagra. According to the announcement, a financial provision of Rs 10 crore has been granted for this.
