Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh – Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, arrived in Lucknow on Tuesday, where he was warmly received by several party leaders. His visit includes a series of events scheduled in Raebareli, his constituency, where he will engage in various local initiatives and attend important meetings. During his visit, Rahul Gandhi will inaugurate the newly established Shaheed Chowk and several roads developed under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. He will also participate in a District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting, underscoring his commitment to Raebareli’s development. Congress MP Pramod Tiwari expressed that despite Rahul Gandhi’s demanding schedule, he prioritizes his responsibilities to Raebareli. “Rahul Gandhi, as the MP of Raebareli, is attending the DISHA meeting, which is chaired by the Lok Sabha MP. Despite his busy commitments, he is here to fulfill his duties, inaugurate roads, and open Shaheed Chowk. This visit is brief, as he is scheduled to head to Hyderabad in the evening,” Tiwari said. Following his engagements in Raebareli, Rahul Gandhi will travel to Hyderabad to discuss the state-led caste survey with intellectuals and other stakeholders. Telangana's government initiated this survey to better understand the demographic makeup of its communities. Telangana Minister Ponnam Prabhakar previously explained that the survey marks a significant first for the state, with each enumerator tasked to survey 150 households, enabling a comprehensive approach to community needs. In October, Minister Prabhakar also announced the upcoming detailed caste survey, set to take place in Telangana from November 6 to November 30, fulfilling a promise made during previous elections.
