Mumbai: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi emphasized the need for collective consciousness in his address at the Nyay Sankalp Sabha in Mumbai, following the culmination of his 63-day Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. During the Sabha, Rahul Gandhi highlighted the prevalence of hatred in India, attributing it to the pervasive injustice experienced by various marginalized communities. He underscored issues such as leaked papers, lack of minimum support prices for farmers, inadequate wages for laborers, and the burden of GST on small businesses, as key sources of this injustice. Advocating for empathy towards fellow citizens, Gandhi stressed the importance of recognizing and addressing injustices faced by others. He lamented the low percentage of people receiving justice, calling for unity and collective action to combat systemic inequities. Reflecting on his Nyay Yatra experience, Gandhi credited the strength of collective participation, emphasizing that the movement's power stemmed from the solidarity of the people. He called for unified efforts in the fight against injustice. Differentiating between ideologies, Gandhi criticized the BJP's centralized political control and highlighted the party's perception of individual wisdom over collective knowledge. In contrast, he championed the wisdom of farmers, laborers, and youth, advocating for inclusive decision-making. Following the conclusion of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, Rahul Gandhi, accompanied by party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and actor Swara Bhaskar, led the 'Jan Nyay Padyatra' from Mani Bhavan Sangrahalaya to August Kranti Maidan in Mumbai, ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
