Rahul Gandhi Accuses BJP of Slowly Killing PSUs, Targets Adani Connection

New Delhi: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi criticized the BJP-led central government during a public rally in Ranchi, asserting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his administration are gradually dismantling Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). Addressing the crowd as part of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, he alleged that the government aims to privatize institutions like the Heavy Engineering Corporation (HEC), possibly replacing it with the Adani nameplate. Rahul Gandhi vowed that the Congress would not permit Adani's name to be associated with HEC or any other PSU, emphasizing the need to protect these entities from privatization.

Earlier, Rahul Gandhi warned against the BJP-led government handing over Jharkhand's steel mills to wealthy associates. He accused the central government of orchestrating economic injustice and condemned the trend of transferring the nation's wealth and resources into a few hands. The Jharkhand government, led by Chief Minister Champai Soren, successfully won the Trust Vote with a majority of 47:29. Rahul Gandhi expressed solidarity with the Jharkhand alliance and criticized the BJP and RSS for attempting to destabilize the government, emphasizing Congress's commitment to fighting against divisive ideologies.

As part of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, covering over 6,700 km, Rahul Gandhi resumed his journey from Ramgarh. The yatra, following a hybrid format, began in Manipur and is set to conclude in Mumbai on March 20. Rahul Gandhi's participation in the trust vote debate highlighted broader issues of economic policies, privatization concerns, and the Congress's stance against perceived injustices.
