Dehradun: President Draupadi Murmu is coming to Uttarakhand on a two-day visit today. On December 9, the Dehradun Police issued a traffic plan for the President's visit. There will be a diversion and zero zones on Mussoorie, New Cantt Road, Rajpur Road, EC Road, Haridwar Road, Haridwar Bypass Road, and Doon University Road from 12 noon to 5 pm. Zero zones will be made 30 to 40 minutes before the fleet passes twice on the Doon University route from the GTC helipad. This arrangement will remain in place till the President goes to Doon University and returns from there. SP Traffic Akshay Konde told that the police have made preparations regarding the proposed visit of President Draupadi Murmu. There will be a diversion and zero zones on the roads through which the President's Fleet will pass on December 9. Main roads Mussoorie, New Cantt Road, Rajpur Road, EC Road, Haridwar Road, Haridwar Bypass Road, and Doon University Road have been barricaded for diversion and zero zones. He has appealed to the general public to avoid passing through the main roads of the city from 12 noon to 5 pm. People have also been urged not to park vehicles on the road. He warned that if any vehicle is parked, it will be removed with a crane. SP said heavy vehicles will go to Doiwala via Dudhli from Kargi Chowk while vehicles coming from Rajpur, Sahasradhara, and Chakrata Road will go through the Raipur-Thano route. Dehradun Police has requested all the schools to cooperate in making traffic arrangements. For this, schools have been asked to be closed before 12 o'clock, so that there is no problem of jams on the roads. Along with this, cooperation has also been expected from all government and non-government institutions. It was said that the routes around these offices will remain closed. That's why the employees should stay in their offices and do not travel unnecessarily.
