New Delhi: The eighth day of the Winter Session of Parliament is poised for significant legislative activity, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah scheduled to introduce two key bills - the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation (Amendment) Bill, 2023, and the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill, 2023 - in the Rajya Sabha this afternoon. Previously, these bills secured passage in the Lok Sabha. Besides these, the house anticipates the submission of reports from the Standing Committee on Water Resources. Additionally, Guman Singh Damor is expected to present the 'Demands for Grants (2023-24)' of the Ministry of Jal Shakti - Department of Water Resources, River Development, and Ganga Rejuvenation. Moreover, the session will feature ministerial statements detailing the progress in implementing various reports. Furthermore, several private members are expected to seek leave to introduce bills.
