New Release Bastar: The Naxal Story Now Available for Online Streaming!

After a successful theatrical run, Bastar: The Naxal Story is set to captivate audiences on their screens. The political thriller, which reportedly cost Rs. 15 crore to make and earned Rs. 3.75 crore worldwide, is now accessible for online viewing.

Hailing from the visionary creators of The Kerala Story, Bastar: The Naxal Story features Adah Sharma in a gripping tale directed by Sudipto Sen and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah.

The movie delves into the realm of Indian Maoists, commonly referred to as Naxals, whose alleged actions led to numerous casualties and extensive property damage during the Bastar rebellion in what is now Chattisgarh, India.

Critical Reception: Opinions on the movie vary among critics. While Rohit Bhatnagar of The Free Press Journal criticized it as a "sloppy docudrama lacking in thrill, adventure, and drama," Zinia Bandyopadhyay from India Today labeled it a "sensationalized, overly simplistic portrayal devoid of nuance."

Deepa Gahlot of Rediff.com opined that the film reduces a complex movement to mere "bullet points and stereotypes," whereas Abhishek Srivastava of The Times of India hailed it as a "hard-hitting crime drama."
