The message indicated a potential "untoward incident" during the India vs. New Zealand match at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. In the ominous post, the individual tagged Mumbai Police and shared a photo featuring guns, ammunition, and bullets. Semi-Final Match at Wankhede Stadium Today It's noteworthy that the first semi-final match of the Cricket World Cup between India and New Zealand is scheduled to take place at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai today. However, ahead of the much-anticipated game, Mumbai Police is dealing with a potential threat directed towards the match venue. Heightened Security Measures in and Around Wankhede Stadium In response to the threat, Mumbai Police have intensified security measures in and around Wankhede Stadium and its vicinity. The authorities are taking the matter seriously, considering the gravity of the situation. Mumbai Police Prepared for the Semi-Final Match Praveen Mundhe, Deputy Commissioner of Police, stated on Tuesday that Mumbai Police is fully prepared to host the semi-final match between India and New Zealand at Wankhede Stadium. Speaking to news agency ANI, he said, "Wankhede Stadium is hosting the upcoming India vs. New Zealand semi-final match (ICC Cricket World Cup). The stadium has previously hosted four matches, and as far as security is concerned, we are well-prepared." Mundhe emphasized that they have enhanced security measures keeping in mind the significance of the semi-final match. Approximately 120 officers and 600 personnel will be deployed in and around the stadium. Senior police officials mentioned, "Along with that, we have auxiliary forces for security, riot control teams, and our rapid response teams ready for immediate action."
