The counselling for NEET UG 2024 All India Quota (AIQ) undergraduate medical seats is anticipated to start soon. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will release the official notification and schedule on their website, mcc.nic.in. Earlier, the National Testing Agency (NTA) informed the Supreme Court that counselling would begin on July 6. This followed the NEET re-test held on June 23, with results announced on July 1 to facilitate the counselling start on July 6. The NEET-UG re-exam on June 23 was for 1,563 candidates who initially received grace marks due to a 'loss of time.' The Supreme Court later revoked these grace marks following petitions. Out of the 1,563 candidates, only 813 took the re-exam, while the remaining 48% chose to retain their original scores without the grace marks. The MCC's NEET counselling covers 15 percent of the All India Quota seats, all seats in central universities (like Aligarh Muslim University, Banaras Hindu University, University of Delhi, and the Faculty of Dentistry at Jamia Milia Islamia), and seats in colleges under the Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) and the Armed Forces Medical College in Pune.
