Jaipur police detained eight people on the ground of cheating and paper leak of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET 2021. According to reports, this also includes a candidate identified as Dineshwari Kumari (18) and the invigilator as Ram Singh. Apart from them, the in-charge of the exam centre’s administration unit Mukesh has also been identified. The NEET exam was held on Sunday. This comes after the National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducted the exams, categorically denied reports of the leak. The issue had become a storm on social media with many students alleging reports of a leak with #OperationNEET trending on Twitter. After the exam started, accused Ram Singh and Mukesh clicked pictures of the question paper from their cell phone and sent the same to 2 men in a Jaipur apartment in Chitrakoot area through WhatsApp. Following this, the question paper was then forwarded to the one who agreed to pay the amount in Sikar who solved the paper, said DCP Richa Tomar. She added that the hunt is on for those who prepared the answer key in Sikar. Further, there was also speculation on whether the exam will be postponed in light of the allegations. Along with her, invigilator Ram Singh, in-charge of exam centre's administration unit Mukesh, Dineshwari's uncle and four others were also nabbed in connection with the case, as per reports.
