NDA Trimphs Bihar By-Elections, Wins All Four Assembly Seats

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) triumphed in all four Bihar by-elections held on Saturday, securing crucial victories across the state.

As the trends and results of the Uttar Pradesh assembly bypolls on Saturday (November 23, 2024) showed a strong performance by NDA-BJP candidates, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his satisfaction, calling it a clear indication of the public's continued trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

In his statement, Adityanath highlighted that the victories in these key constituencies reflect the growing support for the BJP and its alliance partners across the state. The results, he said, signify the people's endorsement of the developmental agenda and policies championed by the Prime Minister, further solidifying his leadership at the national level.

Adityanath also emphasized that the positive bypoll outcomes demonstrate the BJP’s commitment to ensuring the welfare of the people, as well as their confidence in the party’s ability to address state and national issues effectively. With these bypoll wins, he asserted that the NDA's vision of progress and stability continues to resonate deeply with the people of Uttar Pradesh.

In Tarari, BJP's Vishal Prasant defeated CPI-ML's Raju Yadav, winning 78,755 votes compared to Yadav’s 68,143. Jan Suraaj Party's Kiran Devi lagged far behind with just 5,622 votes.

In the Imamganj race, Deepa Kumari, daughter-in-law of Hindustan Awam Morcha (HAM) Chief Jitan Ram Manjhi, clinched victory with 53,435 votes. She outperformed RJD’s Raushan Kumar and Jan Suraaj's Jitendra Paswan. Deepa, who was initially trailing, surged ahead in the fourth round of counting and secured a clear win by the final tally.

BJP’s Ashok Kumar Singh emerged victorious in Ramgarh after a tight contest. Singh won with 62,257 votes, narrowly edging out BSP’s Satish Yadav, who received 57,656 votes, after 12 rounds of counting.

In Belaganj, JD(U) candidate Manorma Devi defeated RJD's Vishwanath Kumar Singh in a fierce battle that lasted 15 rounds of counting.

JD(U) MLC Neeraj Kumar praised Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's continued popularity in the state. He also took a dig at Prashant Kishor, founder of Jan Suraaj, stating that individuals attempting to influence national politics had failed to make an impact at the state level, emphasizing the political strength of Nitish Kumar's leadership in Bihar.
