The 59th All India Conference of Directors General and Inspectors General of Police has officially begun in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, focusing on critical national security challenges. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the conference on November 30 and December 1, along with Union Home Minister Amit Shah. A highlight of the event will be the presentation of the President’s Police Medal for distinguished service, honoring outstanding contributions to law enforcement. Since 2014, the conference has become a platform for informal and open discussions, allowing for the exchange of innovative ideas among police officials. This year, the event includes unique features such as yoga sessions, thematic dining discussions, and dedicated breakout sessions designed to make the most of the delegates’ time. The conference has been held in various locations across the country over the years, including cities like Guwahati, Hyderabad, and New Delhi.
