The advisory specifically urges commuters to avoid traveling through Lalbaug and Parel via Dr. B.A. Road. Instead, drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes, including Barrister Nath Pai, Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Road, N.M Joshi Marg, and Sane Guruji Marg, to minimize delays.
The Chintamani Ganpati Aagman Yatra, a significant event for Mumbai residents, is scheduled to start at 2 pm today. With thousands expected to participate, heavy traffic is anticipated along the procession route. To avoid inconvenience, the Mumbai Traffic Police has implemented several traffic management measures.

Dr. B.A. Road: Traffic on both sides from Hansraj Rathod Chowk (Bawla Compound Junction) to Comrade Krishna Desai Chowk (Bharat Mata Junction). Sane Guruji Marg: Traffic on both sides from Comrade Ganacharya Junction (Chinchpokali Junction) to Saint Jagnade Maharaj Chowk (Gas Company Junction). For vehicles coming from the north on Dr. B.A. Road, the suggested route is Hansraj Rathod Chowk (Bawla Compound Junction) → TB Kadam Marg → Datta Ram Lad Marg → Shravandada Yashwant Chowk → GD Ambekar Marg → Shree Sai Baba Marg → Comrade Krishna Desai Chowk (Bharat Mata Junction). Southbound vehicles on Dr. B.A. Road should turn right at Comrade Krishna Desai Chowk (Bharat Mata Junction) → Currey Road Bridge → NM Joshi Road → Abdul Hamid Ansari Chowk (Khada Parsee) to reach their destination in South Mumbai. Vehicles traveling north from Comrade Ganacharya Junction (Chinchpokali Junction) on NM Joshi Marg should take Shingate Master Chowk → Delisle Road Bridge → NM Joshi Road.
