Indore: 30 to 35 masked miscreants suddenly stormed the Methwara toll booth of Indore-Ahmedabad National Highway 59 in Madhya Pradesh on Friday night. The miscreants lashed out at the toll booth and ransacked the toll booth. The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras. All the crooks escaped from the spot as soon as the police heard the sirens. A complaint has been lodged by toll booth operators in connection with the incident at Betma police station. Earlier also, there has been an incident of assault on the toll worker. The police is monitoring the entire issue and are looking for miscreants. A few days ago, Karni Sena District President Rishiraj Singh Sisodia had threatened to sabotage the toll booth. But the Karni Sena has not been named in the case of Friday night's sabotage. The police is investigating whether the nearby villagers have been ransacked over the tax collection at the toll booth. Earlier also, people from the village around the toll booth had protested against the tax collection. It has been in controversies ever since it was built. The toll rates are the highest in comparison to toll booths across the country. So, there have been many agitations and protests on the first day. Regional Congress MLA Vishal Patel had also protested against extortion from farmers living near toll at toll booths for about 3 hours.
