New Delhi: Delhi Police detained a minor on Saturday in connection with the murder of a 28-year-old private tutor in the Jamia Nagar area. The minor claimed that he killed the tutor, Waseem, as Waseem had been sexually assaulting him for some time and had used videos of the acts to blackmail him. Waseem's body was discovered on August 30 with deep-cut injuries to his neck. The property where the body was found belonged to Waseem's father and had been vacant for some time. The victim had been living with his family in Zakir Nagar. Following the investigation and evidence, a murder case was registered at the Jamia Nagar police station, and the investigation commenced. The minor was identified through surveillance. According to the police statement, Waseem had sexually assaulted the minor multiple times. "The deceased had recorded a video of the juvenile and threatened to release it on social media if the juvenile did not comply with his demands. On August 30, around 11.30 am, Waseem had summoned the juvenile for another assault, which led to the minor's decision to kill him using a sharp paper cutter. The minor's mobile phone, as well as the clothes and shoes he wore during the incident, have also been recovered," stated the police.
