Sam Pounds’ Early Musical Journey Sam’s passion for music started in childhood, inspired by the songs he heard in church. His talent blossomed as he joined a Gospel choir as a teenager, where he played drums and keyboard. Later, he attended Barton College in North Carolina before moving to Los Angeles in 2019 to pursue music professionally.
Performing at venues like the Black Rabbit Rose Magic Theatre and Drake’s club, Delilah, Sam soon caught the attention of Hollywood icons, including Madonna and Wiz Khalifa. His career advanced with a collaboration with Jamie Foxx on the film Back In Action, which led to his introduction to Virgin Music executives. In 2023, Sam released his debut album, Don’t Forget Where You Came From, expanding his reach to a new audience.
