Manindra Reang former minister and state JD-U chief joins TIPRA

Manindra Reang, the head of the Tripura JD-U and a former minister in the state's previous left front government, has joined Pradyot Debbarma's TIPRA.

Manindra Reang was welcomed into TIPRA by Pradyot Debbarma, who stated that the fight for the rights of Tripura's indigenous people will continue. Reang, a top CPI-M politician till 2019, was lost by BJP candidate Pramod Reang in the 2018 Tripura Assembly elections. Manindra Reang joined the Janata Dal-United in 2019 after losing the 2018 Assembly elections.

Manindra Reang was the president of the JD-Tripura U's unit when he left the party on Saturday and joined TIPRA. "The door of Tipra Motha is open to all Tiprasa (indigenous people) who sincerely love the dofa (community)." Tipra Motha is unconcerned about the political party he or she belongs to. At the event at Manpathar, South Tripura district, TIPRA chairman Pradyot Debbarma remarked, "We see the dofa because we are on a mission to create Greater Tipraland."
