'Mamata has no sympathy for the girls ruined in love jihad..', Bengal CM criticizes for banning Kerala Story

Kolkata: After the ban on 'The Kerala Story' by West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee, a political tussle has erupted on this issue. BJP is strongly opposing this move of Mamta. The BJP has termed the move as an attack on freedom of expression. Amit Malviya tweeted, condemning Mamta's decision to ban the film. Along with this, the film's director Vipul Shah has also expressed displeasure over the decision to ban the film. He has also announced to approach the court against this. At the same time, now Union Minister Anurag Thakur has given a sharp reaction to Mamta's ban on the film.

In fact, Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that Mamta Banerjee has imposed this ban on the film to appease a particular section keeping in mind vote bank politics and political gains. Thakur further said that in Bengal a girl child is murdered after being raped, but see the irony that Mamta does not say anything on this, but definitely bans the film. Mamta has nothing to do with those daughters, whose lives were destroyed by being victims of love jihad. The Union Minister said that by banning the film, these people are encouraging terrorist ideology. This politics of appeasement is ruining the future of the daughters of the country.

At the same time, the Union Minister has also made it clear that you people cannot deny the truth by going to the court and the truth is that the lives of daughters are being destroyed under Love Jihad. In such a situation, this film has done the work of cautioning us. Opponents are calling it propaganda.

Let us tell you that while the BJP is in support of this film, the Congress is strongly opposing it. Congress leader Shashi Tharoor had said on the ongoing protest against the film that it may be your Kerala story, but it is not ours. However, the same Shashi Tharoor made a tweet on 17 August 2021, in which he wrote, 'Two Taliban are talking in Malayalam (the language of Kerala).' That is, it is true that Muslim youths from Kerala go to Afghanistan to join terrorist organizations.

On the same day, Congress leader Tharoor had another tweet that, 'I have been contacted by mothers from Kerala whose daughters are stranded in Afghanistan after being taken there by their errant husbands. I arranged a meeting with External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj ji to plead her case. Obviously as an MP I am aware of the situation. It is also clear from this that girls from Kerala are misled and taken to other countries. Shashi Tharoor himself is saying this, who is an MP from Kerala itself.
