The Maharashtra Board for Secondary and Higher Secondary Education announced the results of the annual Class 12 exams on Wednesday, and the results showed that girls outperformed boys. This year, 94.22% of students passed the state board's Higher Secondary Education (HSC) exams, which is lower than the 99.63% who completed the exams last year. The pass percentage of girls was 95.35%, while that of boys was 93.29%, as per the results announced by the board's chairperson, Sharad Gosavi. The exams attended a total of 14,59,664 students. There were 14,39,731 students that took the tests, with 13,56,604 of them passing. Nagpur had the highest pass percentage of 96.52% , followed by Amaravati with 96.34%, Latur with 95.25% , Kolhapur with 95.07%, Nashik with 95.03, Aurangabad with 94.97 and Pune with 93.61, while the Mumbai division had the lowest pass percentage of 90.91%. As per the official statement, the pass percentage in the science stream was 98.30%, in arts 90.51%, commerce-91.71% and in vocational streams 92.40%.
