Bhopal: There are about 28 prisoners in jails in Madhya Pradesh who have been sentenced to death by a lower court. Most of these criminals are accused of rape. Now that the lower courts have sentenced these criminals to death, the biggest question is who will hang them, because there is not a single hangman in any jail in the state. The trial courts have already announced the death sentence in some rape cases, after which the accused moved the High Court against the verdict. Earlier, when the issue of not being a hangman in Madhya Pradesh grew, former jail minister Antar Singh Arya had said that "there is no hangman in Madhya Pradesh, soon the hangman will be appointed to hang the rape accused". A total of 28 prisoners have been sentenced to death in various jails in the state. Out of these, 11 prisoners are lodged in Central Jail Indore, 9 in Jabalpur Central Jail, 4 in Bhopal Central Jail, 3 in Gwalior Central Jail and 1 in Ujjain Central Jail.
