Madhya Pradesh CM Announces 4% DA Hike for State Employees Ahead of Diwali

BHOPAL: In a festive announcement, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has increased the Dearness Allowance (DA) for state government employees by 4%, raising it from 46% to 50%. The hike will be effective from January 1, 2024.

Extending Diwali greetings, Yadav highlighted the government’s dedication to supporting its employees. “I extend my wishes to all state employees for Diwali. The government has decided to increase the DA for our hardworking team members,” said Yadav, acknowledging their efforts.

"I congratulate all our employees for their dedication, hard work, and positive attitude, which have set them apart among employees nationwide. It is the state government's responsibility to support them. The 46% Dearness Allowance was approved and has been effective since July 1, 2023, with arrears provided in installments. Starting January 1, 2024, the Dearness Allowance for all state government employees will increase to 50%," the CM added.

In addition, Yadav emphasized that the timing of the announcement, which coincides with the foundation day of Madhya Pradesh on November 1, doubles the celebration. Reflecting on the state’s journey since its formation in 1956, he expressed optimism for further progress for both Madhya Pradesh and the nation.
