Administration issues guidelines for Navratri, find out what will be banned

Bhopal: Navratri begins on October 7. During this period, the idols of Mother Durga will be installed from place to place. Where a huge crowd of devotees will gather. The Bhopal administration has issued guidelines in view of the corona epidemic. According to these guidelines, programs like Garba and Bhandara will be banned. This is because these programs cause huge gatherings. There is a risk of spreading corona infection.

According to the guidelines, the statue of Mother Durga will not be more than 5 feethight. The guidelines of the NGT in this regard will be followed.  There will be no cultural programmes, awakenings, sports competitions and food events at the idol installation site. The administration has imposed restrictions on them.  It will be mandatory for all those present to wear masks during the puja. Only a few people other than the puja committee will be allowed to join the puja. The puja pandal has to be installed in an open place.

Special care should be taken that the place should not be narrow. Playing DJ will also be banned and only two loudspeakers will be allowed to be installed. Idol immersion will also be the same as per covid guidelines. A maximum of 10 people will be allowed to visit the immersion site. It will also require approval from SDM.
