Indore: Five people have been reported dead and one severely burnt at different places due to lightning accompanied by heavy rains in Madhya Pradesh. The accidents took place in Morena and Betul. According to reports, lightning struck Ambah in Morena district on Tuesday amid heavy rains. Three persons including a stone trader have died in the accident. It is reported that it was raining heavily, while stone trader Ramveer Singh Tomar, four-wheeler Lokendra Tomar and tractor driver Dharamveer Prajapati resorted to safety, but it became a safe place for them to die. All of them gathered at one place when lightning struck the stone with a loud noise during the rain and the trio was hit by it. The trio was rushed to Ambah Hospital with injuries where doctors declared all of them brought dead. One such incident took place in Betul district. Two persons died and one woman was badly injured. The incident took place at Gram Panchayat Thani under Amla block. Block medical officer of Amla Community Health Centre Ashok Narvare said that the weather suddenly changed on Tuesday and it started raining heavily with thundershowers. Meanwhile, Shivlal, Sampath and Radhika were all burnt in gram panchayat Thani due to lightning. Out of these, both Shivlal and Sampath Adivasi died during treatment as the condition was critical while Radhika's condition remains critical.
