Madhya Pradesh: Religious freedom ordinance to be implement today

Bhopal: Shivraj government of Madhya Pradesh had announced the implementation of the Love Jihad Act. In such a situation, the ordinance brought for it has also got the approval of the Governor. It is being said that the Religious Freedom Ordinance is to be implemented today i.e. from Saturday itself. After getting the approval of Governor Anandi Ben Patel, the Home Department has sent the Ordinance to the Law and Legislative Department on Friday itself. It is being told that the department will scrape them and send the official press for publication in the Gazette of the notification. At the same time, the provisions of the ordinance may apply with notification.

In addition, the government will present the bill in place of this ordinance in the budget session of the proposed assembly in February-March. You all must know that Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan had announced to implement the Love Jihad law strictly. Along with this, he had spoken of strict action in the matters of converting the girls by tricking the girls with them in the past. Keeping this in view, the government has prepared a legal system to stop conversion by bringing religious freedom ordinance.

After the ordinance brought by the state government, the provision of strict punishment may apply to conversion. It is being told that there is a provision of punishment of one to ten years for the person who commits marriage, seduction or coercion. Along with this, a penalty of maximum one lakh rupees has also been provided. It is being said that a fine of at least fifty thousand rupees will be imposed with a minimum of two and maximum ten years of imprisonment for conversion of a woman, minor, scheduled caste, tribe person.
