Partha Sarathi Deb, a cherished figure in Bengali cinema and television, has passed away at the age of 68. His family announced the sad news on Saturday, revealing that he breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a local hospital. Deb's health had been declining due to COPD-related complications, and he had been under medical care at M R Bangur hospital for the past month. Unfortunately, his condition deteriorated, leading to his admission to the ICU where he succumbed to his illness at 11:50 pm on Friday night. Throughout his illustrious career, Deb showcased his talent in various mediums, including theater, television serials, films, and web series. Notably, he graced the screen in more than 200 productions, leaving an indelible mark on the entertainment industry. Among his recent works was the film 'Raktabeej', where he exhibited his remarkable acting prowess. Apart from his acting endeavors, Deb was actively involved in the West Bengal Motion Picture Artists Forum, holding the position of vice president. His contributions to the forum and the broader artistic community were significant and widely appreciated. Following his demise, the forum issued a statement expressing deep condolences and mourning his loss. Plans are underway to transport his remains to Technician Studio, a place intimately associated with the late actor, for the final rites.
