In Tiruvananthapuram, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday that the Left Front and the Congress are adversaries in Kerala but are always good friends outside the state. Addressing a rally, he took veiled digs at Rahul Gandhi, stating that the Left Front wanted the Congress "prince" to be ousted from Wayanad in Kerala. Rahul Gandhi currently represents the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat. PM Modi stated, "Both these parties attack each other... In Kerala, they are enemies, but outside Kerala, they are friends who sit together and eat." Targeting Rahul Gandhi, PM Modi said, "The Left wants the Congress 'prince' to be ousted from Wayanad... These people are advising the 'prince' to stay away from Kerala." Continuing their onslaught against the Left and the Congress, PM Modi said, "The only priority for Congress and its various communist alliances is to let their family rule the country. For them, the welfare of their family is more important than the welfare of Indians." PM Modi claimed that the opposition has conceded defeat in this year's upcoming Lok Sabha elections and has no strategy concerning the progress of the nation, hence resorting to the "good-bad" tactic. Speaking at the culmination ceremony of the state unit's padayatra of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the Central Stadium, PM Modi urged the people of Kerala to bless his party by securing double-digit seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He asserted that the BJP never views any state as a vote bank. PM Modi claimed that Kerala has benefited from development over the past 10 years like other BJP-ruled states. He promised to make every effort to fulfill the dreams and aspirations of the people of Kerala. The Prime Minister asserted that alongside making India the world's third-largest economy, eradicating poverty and corruption from the country is a 'Modi commitment'. He said, "Despite continuous non-cooperation from the Kerala state government, Kerala remains a priority for the Indian government. It has been decided by the Indian government that all exams for government jobs will be conducted in all local languages, including Malayalam..." PM Modi further stated, "The BJP has never viewed Kerala or any state in the country through the lens of votes. Even when the BJP was weak here, we worked to strengthen Kerala... Recently, compatriots living in Gulf countries experienced the difference between the former India and today's India..." Addressing a public meeting in Tiruvananthapuram, PM Modi said, "The hope that was awakened for the BJP in Kerala in 2019 seems to be turning into confidence in 2024. In 2019, Kerala gave double-digit votes to the BJP, and in 2024, Kerala seems inclined to give double-digit seats." He added, "In 2019, the country chanted 'Modi government once again,' and in 2024, everyone is saying, 'this time, beyond 400 seats'..." Poisoned in love!
