AMARAVATI: The Andhra Pradesh government granted Rs 590 crore on Tuesday to beneficiaries of various schemes who, missed to get the benefits disbursed between June and November 2022 for various reasons. Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the chief minister, reaffirmed his government's commitment to making sure that everyone who qualifies receives the welfare benefits of various programmes without fail. He distributed Rs 590.91 crore to 2,79,065 people who did not receive benefits during the previous six months. The Chief Minister said the Government has been implementing different welfare initiatives regardless of caste, creed, or party affiliations while virtually releasing the funds during a high-level meeting at his camp office in Amaravati. He said that after a social audit, the names of all leftover beneficiaries were publicly placed at the secretariats of the village and wards to make sure that no one who was entitled to receive benefits was disregarded. with this, there will now be 44, 27,641 total beneficiaries of the various welfare programmes, and a total of Rs 6,684.84 crore has been distributed across all of them. The Chief Minister said that while the previous TDP administration operated unjustly and only provided the limited advantages to people who supported it in the polls, the current administration has been implementing numerous welfare initiatives impartially. He said that it was rife with corruption and bigotry.
