Vijayawada: YSRC president and Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy named party district unit presidents and regional coordinators after the Cabinet reshuffle last week and the formation of new districts. As the Chief Minister focused on building the party in all 26 districts and preparing the cadres for the 2024 elections, many former ministers who were dropped in the last Cabinet change were appointed to these jobs. Jagan Mohan Reddy had spent the previous three days finalising the names of district unit presidents with former ministers and senior leaders. Former minister Balineni Srinivas Reddy has been named regional coordinator for three districts in Nellore, Prakasam, and Bapatla, following his dismissal from the Cabinet. P. Anil Kumar Yadav, a former minister, has been chosen Regional coordinator (RC) for the YSR Kadapa and Tirupati districts, while former minister Kodali Venkateswara Rao alias Nani has been named RC for the Guntur and Palnadu districts. Marri Rajasekhar had been offered the MLC seat by Jagan Mohan Reddy, but it never materialised. Rajasekhar has now been selected as the RC for the NTR and Krishna districts. RC for Visakhapatnam, Anakapalli, and Alluri Seetharama Raju districts was TTD chairman Y.V. Subba Reddy, who was aiming to re-enter active politics. Minister Botsa Satyanarayana has been named RC for the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, and Parvathipuram Manyam.
