I want people to remember me for that song even today. When 'Kaanta Laga' became a hit, we were going through a tough time financially. My father had lost all his money. My mother was working in a bank. My sister was studying in college and the college fees were very high. My mother put her bangles on loan to pay the fees. That day I decided that I will get so many bangles for my mother that she will not be able to decide which one to wear."

Epileptic seizures

Apart from this, Shefali told that she used to have epileptic seizures. She said, "Epilepsy is a neurological problem. It can also be genetic. It has symptoms of seizures. It happens due to excessive stress, when your brain is unable to handle stress. I had my first seizure when I was 15 years old. I was overstressed due to board exams. In today's time, there are medicines and good doctors. Now I have not had seizures for 20 years. I do not take medicines now. It can be managed due to changes in lifestyle, such as food, exercise and mental work. When you have seizures, you can bite your tongue. I had an attack when I was standing in the balcony. I could have fallen and died. You do not know when the seizure will happen."

Shefali wants to adopt a daughter

Apart from this, Shefali told that she wants to adopt a daughter. Shefali said, "The process of adopting a child is very long. The family has to be convinced and it is taking time due to the legal process. We have tried our best. We are waiting for the daughter to come to our house."
