Kushinagar: The incident of killing of BJP supporter Babar Ali in Kushinagar in UP has not yet cooled down that such an incident has started coming to light in Kanpur. Here, neighbours did not only threaten to cut his neck by tearing his eyes for putting up a Bharatiya Janata Party flag to an educated Muslim man but also openly assaulted him several times. After all, knowing the danger to his life, he registered an FIR at the police station. Police are probing the matter but no culprit has been arrested so far. The incident is related to Shakeel Ahmed, a resident of Juhi Lal Colony of Kidwai Nagar, Kanpur. Shakeel earlier worked in a multi-national company in Delhi. Thereafter, Shakeel came to his home in Kanpur and started doing the jewellery business. Shakeel said that I am a supporter of the BJP since 2013, I like Modi, this time in the assembly elections, I put the BJP flag at my house while the rest of the area had planted the Congress flag. He says that the Bharatiya Janata Party MLA had put a garland around my neck during the elections. Shakeel said that this made my neighbours angry and everyone threw the BJP flag from my house, but I put up the flag again, upset with this, the neighbour Shahnawaz threatened me to come along with the Muslims of the area or else I will break your eyes and cut off your neck. Then, these men beat me up several times. Shakeel said now I feel threatened with my life, so I have lodged an FIR at the Kidwai Nagar police station. The police have registered an FIR against Shahnawaz, Rashid, Rizwan and Bhalu as well as his son on Shakeel's complaint. The police have registered an FIR under sections 147, 427, 323, 506 and 294.
