Bhopal: A large number of people are seen at vaccination centres in Madhya Pradesh to get the corona vaccine administered. Due to limited doses and lack of proper arrangements, people have to go back home without getting vaccinated even after lining up. At present, long queues, stampede situations, clashes and protests are being witnessed at immunization centres in the state. Recently, noisy incidents have been reported from at least six districts including Rajgarh, Panna, Hoshangabad, Chhindwara, Vidisha and Khargone. In fact, people created a ruckus at a vaccination centre in Narasimhagarh tehsil in Rajgarh last Thursday. About 4,000 people reached the centre for vaccination, but only 500 people could get vaccinated at the centre. After all this, some people from Udaipuria village started fighting for vaccination. Due to this, the police force had to be deployed at the centre in the end. One such incident took place in a village in Khargone. There was a scuffle between the women entering the vaccination centre. You all know that people are reportedly reaching out for vaccination in large numbers for rumours of non-availing of government schemes and fear of losing their work. However, everyone is also expressing anger over the lack of comfort. "We were told that if we don't get vaccinated, the entire family will lose the benefits of government schemes, we will not get ration and work,'' says Shiv Singh, an elderly of Khargone.
