The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its manifesto for the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections, outlining a range of promises designed to support the grassroots population and drive economic progress. A central pledge is an annual deposit of Rs 25,000 into the account of every woman, aimed at enhancing women's financial empowerment. Farmers are set to benefit from an increase in the Kisan Samman Yojana, raising the annual amount from Rs 12,000 to Rs 15,000. In support of senior citizens, the manifesto proposes a monthly pension of Rs 2,100, totaling about Rs 25,000 each year. Additionally, one lakh students in Maharashtra would receive a monthly stipend of Rs 10,000 to help further their education. Rural development is also a key focus, with plans to build water roads in 45,000 villages to improve local infrastructure. Focus on Rural Development and Education For rural workers, particularly Anganwadi and Asha workers, the BJP promises a monthly salary of Rs 15,000. In line with its focus on rural support, the Mahayuti alliance has already waived electricity pump bills for farmers and plans to reduce future electricity bills by 30%, with an emphasis on transitioning to solar power. As part of its long-term vision, the BJP aims to present "Vision Maharashtra 2029" within 100 days after the election, with the ambition of transforming Maharashtra’s economy into a trillion-dollar force. Technology development is another major priority, with plans to boost connectivity in cities like Nagpur, Pune, and Nashik under the "Make in Maharashtra" initiative, incorporating artificial intelligence. For farmers, a guaranteed price of Rs 6,000 per quintal is promised for soybeans, along with tax concessions on fertilizers. The manifesto also introduces a Rs 1,000 crore revolving fund to support self-help groups for women, with a goal of enabling 50 lakh women to become financially independent over three years. The Akshay Anna Yojana will provide free food grains to economically disadvantaged families. Robotics and artificial intelligence training will be introduced in government schools under the Maharathi and Atal Tinkering Lab initiatives, with a focus on aligning skill development with industry requirements through a state-wide skill census. To foster entrepreneurship, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Aspiration Centers will be set up in each district to create a million entrepreneurs. Students from underprivileged backgrounds, including OBC, SEBC, EC, EWS, and VJNT categories, will receive full waivers on education and examination fees. Health and Social Welfare Initiatives On the health front, the manifesto includes plans for issuing Swami Vivekananda Youth Health Cards and annual health check-ups for youth and senior citizens. Preservation efforts for Maharashtra’s historic forts are highlighted alongside welfare programs for seniors, ensuring they receive Aadhaar-enabled services in government hospitals. To strengthen social welfare, the BJP pledges to enact laws against forced conversions and tackle fraudulent conversions. It also proposes using technology to reduce human-wildlife conflicts and prevent casualties from wildlife encounters. The manifesto’s welfare measures are aimed at women, youth, senior citizens, farmers, and marginalized communities, reflecting BJP's commitment to inclusive growth. This manifesto outlines BJP's broad strategy for economic development, technological advancement, and social welfare, with a strong emphasis on supporting all segments of society, from rural workers to students and the elderly.
