US Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris strongly criticized her Republican opponent Donald Trump, accusing him of being self-centered and neglecting the concerns of the American people. Speaking to a large crowd in the battleground state of Arizona on Thursday, Harris said Trump has refused to engage in further debates ahead of the November 5 election, calling it a "disservice" to voters. "I think it's a pretty weak move. But even if he won’t debate, the contrast in this election is already clear," Harris said. She emphasized that many important issues affect Americans, but Trump remains silent on those matters. "We will always work to keep our nation secure and honor our military service members. These, along with many other issues, are what truly matter to you and your families. But that’s not what we hear from Donald Trump," Harris remarked. She added, "Instead, from Donald Trump, it’s the same old tired playbook. He has no plans for how he would address the needs of the American people. He is only focused on himself. It’s time to turn the page." Harris expressed that the country is ready for a fresh start, led by a new generation with an optimistic outlook. "That’s why Democrats, Republicans, and Independents are supporting our campaign. They know we need a president who works for all Americans. We are tired of those who encourage us to point fingers at one another," she said. Harris concluded by highlighting the sharp differences in the visions for America, stating, "This election is about two very different futures—Trump’s vision, focused on the past, and ours, which is focused on the future. We’re committed to tackling the issues that matter most to working families, such as lowering the cost of living and supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs."
