Gujarat's Unique Diwali: Chief Minister Celebrates with PMAY Residents

Gandhinagar: In a heartfelt Diwali celebration, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will spend the festival with families of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) in Gandhinagar. On October 31st at 7 PM, Patel will visit the 'Namo Narayan Residency' PMAY community in Sargasan, Gandhinagar, to personally greet families and join them in festive celebrations.

This gesture is part of the state’s initiative to bring government representatives closer to the public. In February 2024, 1,208 homes were inaugurated under PMAY in Gandhinagar, aiming to support lower and middle-income families by providing them with affordable housing and fostering a sense of community through shared events like Diwali.

Joining the Chief Minister, several other state ministers will celebrate with PMAY beneficiaries in their respective districts. Minister Kanubhai Desai will join the festivities with PMAY (Urban) beneficiaries in Bhagada Vada, Valsad, and Minister Rushikesh Patel will visit Rangpur, Mehsana, to meet PMAY (Rural) families. Minister Raghavji Patel will celebrate with beneficiaries in Bedi, Jamnagar, while Minister Balvantsinh Rajput will visit Siddhpur, Patan.

Other officials, including Ministers Kunwarji Bavaliya, Mulubhai Bera, Kuber Dindor, Bhanuben Babariya, and Harsh Sanghvi, will extend Diwali greetings across various PMAY communities, underscoring the government’s dedication to meaningful engagement with the people of Gujarat. This year’s celebrations emphasize unity and support, bringing joy to thousands of families in their new homes.
